Dunno if I like it or not

What do you think? Is it effective? I intentionally left a dark foreground. The scene is Mt Buffalo, in the Australian Alps, looking through to Mt Feathertop in the distance.

Canon 30D, Av setting, 24-105, 40mm, ISO 400, 1/1600, f/5.6, handheld.

It's time for a retake if possible.

The boulders that you are using to frame the image are excessive.
My eyes are drawn to the gap, it's just not wide enough.

needs a clear focal point. the framing is good, but there is nothing beyond.

if possible get a higher vantage point, eg a taller tripod, or stand on a nearby rock etc. and that way you can tilt the camera down to get the mountain vista as the image. also i would loose some of the dead space at the lower end of the frame.

Looks like a black hole you could not get out of, it does not lead you into the rest of the photo, the trip for me ends at the darkness.
