all were taken at 2.8 between 400 and 640 with ISO of 1600. All had to be lightened in photoshop as well. All shot with 40D and 70-200 2.8 IS.

Hope that helps :D I've taken them all off my computer now and don't want to go look through 25 CDs of photos today ;)

being from romania, this sport means a lot to me. I just love it and we keep kick asses. Still.. however, at the mo, we are not in such a great shape. so, US will kick us in Beijing. Probably. But overall, is one of my fav sports. well done and i'll have a look on your website.

Agreed. Although if you've got your trusty 200 1.8 (I wish)... :D

Wondering why you didn't try the 3200 ISO mode with the 40D to get a bit faster shutter speed. I use this ISO and the 70-200f2.8 for a lot of minor hockey and get pretty good results in very dim arenas, certainly with lighting that is on par with what it looks like there was in the facility you were in. I use Adobe Lightroom for PP and I find it's NR functions to be excellent. I also assume flash was out of question (disturbing to athletes?), even trying to bounce it off something?

Used that for gymnastics for the last 15 years now... :) And the 85 1.2 (now mark II)

Lots of fun. :)
