Thanks for your feedback! Probably one day I'm gonna capture that spot properly when there's no wind, just the right light and just the perfect color in the foliage to capture...then I can die in peace! :D Until then, the battle continues!

Cheers!

There is a building here in Tacoma I feel the same way about. I've taken a few photos of it but never done it justice. I've seen it at sunrise, sunset, dusk, dawn, dark... I love it but have never captured it how I want.

I really liek the shot i would personanlly take some red out of the photo with a layer mask then by hand desaturate the rocks then up the exposure on the entire picture and also dodge the right side of the photo.

Barry Schwartz,

I really like the treatment you did on my picture! It has a sort of calming effect on the scene, from an emotional perspective. ;)

My only quibble on it is that it dramatically changes the color of the rocks and makes them look like common crushed stone which they definitely are not. These boulders were taken from that exact area of the park and used to fortify the river bank. Some other parts of the park actually do use trucked in crushed stone and it looks "man-made", which diminished the natural beauty of the river.

Thank you for giving me some great PP tips! It sounds like you really know your way around Photoshop!

Cheers! :)

They're very nice. Hard to believe it's the same river as the one you see around the lower DVP.

I agree with your comments on the natural colour of the rock.
Well done.

Yeah, the Don River Parklands definitely have their sweet and sour spots! ;)

This shot was taken just north of the Leslie and Sheppard area of the park.

I started exploring it from Steeles Ave, ( the northern end of the park) and have been working my way south, looking for stuff worthy of capturing.

Thanks for your feedback on the pictures! Its appreciated! :D

Cheers!

It appears that it was somewhat windy, hence the branch blur. I really do like the shot. Looks very peaceful. Thanks for sharing!
