Hello,

I was trying out my new lens and I thought I would do a little low-lite (dusk) photography of a flower, to see how it would come out.

Setup:
- Rebel XTi on tripod
- 24-105mm f/4L lens (FP 28mm)
- 430EX Flash + diffuser
- 22" away
- ISO 400
- 1/60 at f/4.0

Here is the original Converted from CR2 to jpeg, no PP.

This is what I came up with after about 6 minutes of PP, but its still a lot of work. So besides setting a better WB; What did I do wrong?

I could be mistaken but IMHO, you did nothing wrong - this is just a tricky exposure..
Elements in your shot exceed the dynamic range of your camera.
Zoom in a bit more, fill the frame with the subject of interest and you’ll be able to see more details and better texture of the white flower.

What we see depends mainly on what we look for.
