Hi all;

I've done some updated to my website and would like some feedback about what should be added and some creative ideas. I still have to add the "portfolio" section with galleries.

Thanks everyone.

I like it, but agree the music is not needed these days... Most people dont wanna hear it or have some of their own stuff playing and dont enjoy the new mixed track playing... or blasting them at full noise....

Otherwise I like it! :)

It's fine...except for the music...why is it that every photography site has to have music these days? I find it distracting and exit a site pronto! if it has music....

I have to agree on the music, nothing makes me exit a website faster! I like the look of your site however!

The site layout and Flash design is great, but kill the music.

Wow, thanks for all the compliments. I'm surprised about the music thing, I must admit. I'll set it to play only when the user clicks on it. I guess 6 out 6 against them music is pretty unanimous. Thanks for the C&C guys, I really do appreciate it!

yeah I don't like music on sites either. I also think it takes too long to load.

I'm surprised about the music thing, I must admit.

If you're surprised, then let me clarify a bit. Folks are using their computers for lots of things these days. Many people listen to music while they surf the net, and many people are using their computers for complete entertainment centers. In my case, I have my TV routed out of my PC. So if a web site comes up that plays music, it will overlay any sound that is already being produced on the computer. It's seriously obnoxious to say the least.

Your option of a "turn on music?" is a good one.

Dave

Dave,

Thanks for the info, but I did know that already :) I was actually referring to the fact that I often enjoy the music from other websites with photos and naturally just assumed others would too. I realize many people have their computers as their multimedia outlet for their home, but personally I don't have music playing when I am surfing the Internet (most of the time, sometimes I do). But seeing as so many people seem to be annoyed by it, turning it off is the way to go.

One time I was actually told by a client that she left my website up because of "The Cure" song I had on there and she loved "The Cure" and hadn't heard them in years - so I don't think my being surprised is beyond the pale.

Anyway, no harm no foul, it's off and I do actually appreciate the feedback, even if it's a little Simon Cowell'esque ;)

I don't mind the music; I actualy like it. I would like to see some sort of galleries to show your work...if it was there, I have missed it. 100-page wedding album?

nice site very clean, dump the music, and maybe get the smugmug to show in your flash framing. talk to them and see if you can try and make it a cleaner change from one to the other.
