These were a couple I took at my nephew's little league game. First time shooting sports. I think the first one is soft. Any comments, ideas,suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Canon 40D
Canon 70-300 f/4 -5.6
SS - 1/640

The first one is a little soft but I always had mixed results with that lens.

Second would be better if tilted so horizon is straight.

Overall nice job ... much better than my first atempts at sporrts.
