Nice shots Jim, 5 and 6 my favourites.

Gman is always an inspiration

also rare to see a batsmen without a helmet these days.

In my opinion, the first thing to master shooting cricket,is to control the whites,i reckon you've done a good job,the next thing is timing and having a bit of luck.Lets all keep at it.There's a league starting down here in the south of France soon, looking forward to it.

Good work Jim! Something makes me want to see the aftermath of the ball/nose collision in #5... but then again, perhaps not!

It's certainly all about exposure and timing... and working the angles.

It's also nice to be cited as an inspiration but, let it be known, a lot of it comes down to the luck of the draw. It's not always possible to be in the right spot for the best action... sometimes a fielder changes position and stands in front of you as something spectacular happens... sometimes the batsman steps across and blocks the view of the stumps as the bails fly... sometimes the appeals come at the wrong end... blah, blah, blah... all you can do is to keep plugging away ;)

Thanks Latereg. Yes rare indeed as the guy bowling was playing for Ireland two year ago he is still quite fast, they had present Ireland bowler Kyle McCallum playing

Cheers Trevor, the 40D seems to master the whites good, timing for me depends on the speed of the bowler when I take the shot, and luck comes into it OK;)

Yowtch! Wish you had the frame where he was hit by the ball, but the anticipation in 5 is almost as good. Nice work on these!

this was the report on his club website

Injury to Simon Harrison
Simon sustained an injury to his eye during the game yesterday in Limavady. He has fractured and displaced his eye socket. Simon is in good form although a little bit sore and he will be seeing a consultant at the Ulster hospital on Wednesday when he will know whether surgery will be required.

Everyone at WCC wishes Simon a speedy recovery. He has been told to take it easy, so this should be relatively easy for Simon to manage!

Hope to see you in action at the Lawn.

Good shots Jim. Looks like the 40D was a good investment.
