Where was you focus point on this? it seems amazing to get that much DOF at f2.8, that is one sweet lens. the name is Winston but they call me Sandy

I took about a dozen shots from this vantage point, and only one had some camera shake blurring. I liked this one best because of the way the kids were sitting in/on most of the letters. The focus point was in the center of the picture on the letter I. Canon EOS 20D, Canon EF 24-70 f/2.8L @ 28mm, 1/13s (hand held), f/2.8, ISO 1600 I wish I'd thought of using the flash on this one: Canon EOS 20D, Canon EF 24-70 f/2.8L @ 27mm, 1/10s (hand held), f/2.8, ISO 1600 My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

I would have kept the same long exposure to keep Grizzly Peak and the sky the way they are. A quick flash would have made the waterfall stand out a little better, though... I tried to bring a tripod into the park, but they stopped me and said that wasn't allowed. Come to think of it, I'm not sure they had the centralized security gate in place a year ago, so maybe you were there when you could still get a tripod that far... I didn't use a tripod, just placed the camera on top of a trashcan or something. The shot was taken around 10:30 pm so the park was already closed and very few people in that central area.
