Well, I thought you might find it a little amusing that I struggled for 20 minutes during a shoot trying to find out why all my shots were under exposed. Turns our I hadn't put the 430EX on Manual mode and between the camera and the flash, ETTL was throwing off all my exposures. Brice

Didn't think of that. Perhaps the preflash is causing the strobes to fire before my shutter opens and then when it opens, no light.... Make perfect sense. Brice

They can work with the pre-flash in ETTL of your speedlight or popup flash. I have been using my 580ex in ETTL mode as a trigger to both of my Genesis 200 lights, and it works like a charm.
