However I am wanting to take some shots inside as well. Just pics of the kids and things like that. Nothing extreme but I get tired of the washed out colors and adjusting my exposure. Anyways what flash would you recomend that is reasonable in price with the limited use it will get. Thanks

You posted in the lighting forum and say you don't need a flash, just a better lens for indoors. My experience is indoors the lens is less important than the lighting. Get a Canon 430EX Professional wedding photographer, solution architect and general technical guy with multiple Amazon Web Services certifications.

and use it with whatever lens you currently use outside. Bounce the light off the ceiling or a wall, camera in manual 1/100th F5.6 ISO800, flash in ETTL with FEC+1.
