Spoken word artist in Grant park

This gentleman actually asked me to take his picture, so I did. Info is with the pic, looking for comments/critique. I know the shot isn't that good, I could have done better, but still, given about 10 seconds to take the shot what would you have done differently (while he was performing).

Why, did he run away

Seriously, I would have zoomed in on his face to eliminate the cluttered background.

1) didn't have a zoom
2) middle of a festival in a Chicago park, there were people everywhere
3) he was on a bike! =)
