cheap as it gets!

So I ordered this http://cgi.ebay.com …eName=STRK:MEWN​:IT&ih=001 the other day. I was told by members of this forum to stay away from it....I have a hard time following instruction...per my wife . But I figured it would be just fine for shooting indoors i.e. wife & kids right?... Has anyone made a light stand out of anything before, like a broom handle or something? Shouldn't be too hard to fabricate. It says the umbrella is 33 inches. Can I squeeze two people into that shoot? or maybe even 3? Thanks guys, I know it's not the best to go with but it's all I can afford right now.

To be honest you're prob better off buying a cheap light stand rather than fashioning something from broom handles. I'm not sure what the options are over where you live but here in the UK I bought a lightweight but reasonable good quality light stand (Portaflash) for about £9...what's that about $17??

You'll thank yourself because if your 430 comes crashing to the floor because of an unstable stand you'll really regret it.
