im a lil confused. thought i'd ask you guys who have the experience.

i contacted an organization that's putting together a summer long string of free events. performances, concerts with some known artists scheduled to perform. from june to august with performances thursday to saturday. all free to the public.

my initial letter:

me wrote:
We would like to send one of our photogrpahers on assignment to cover your event Thursday evening June 12. Please forward me to the appropriate contact person.

Thank You,
Bluesmap

letter got forwarded a few times and i got this reply:

them wrote:
Hi Bluesmap,

Happy to work on this for you. What kind of coverage are you planning?

Best,

what is "coverage" and is it not obvious that its still photography that was planned? or am i missing the essence of the question in the reply?

You're missing it. They want to know what you want to photograph. Just call them, it's easier.

You should use a spell checker too.
