Well, you need to watch out for color temp differences between the brands of light. You can have a difference of several hundred degrees among lights at different power levels in the SAME brand. Different brands can vary even more.
If you have two markedly different temps lighting your shot you might not be able to get an accurate WB, even with a custom setting. Especially if the lights are not mixing but are lighting different portions of the set. See below for some real-world measures of different brands and note that things change. Bulbs differ, softboxes and umbrellas affect color temp, etc.
