They don't list the speedlite 430EX as a Compatible model for the wireless Cactus trigger, the 420EX is though..

Typo?

You could try the direct approach and ask the seller a question if they are compatable.

my V2s and 430EX work fine together... I'm not sure why it doesn't have it on there. My ebay page that I bought mine from had the 430 listed.

Yes should be typo. Works with 580EX series I and II. should work with 430EX no problem.

PS: Just went through your Flickr 70-200mm album, did you get the IS model? We seem to have the same tastes in camera gears :)

Actually no, I've got the non-IS. It's mainly used for sports photography..so I didn't really need the IS version.

Great, just want to ask you whether you wished you had the IS sometimes? I am thinking of getting the IS model but I'm not sure whether its really needed or not.

I've heard the IS version is slightly less sharp. But I don't think you'd really notice this. If you have the cash..go for the IS version! I sometimes wish I had IS on mine, but on the other hand I'm a student (saved a lot by buying an used non-IS model) and mainly use it for sports (IS is barely used for this purpose).
In the end it depends on what you're gonna use it for.

I know of two people who've had the 430EX mounted on a Cactus trigger and it has a habit of firing off randomly... not often though. but it does happen.
