Ask the conversion facility...
I would pose this question to the facility that is converting the camera. There are some facilities whose conversions are designed for specific lenses. You pick from a listing of lenses and they will convert the camera specifically for that lens. I had my D60 DSLR converted by digitalguy.com and he stated that just about any lens can be used but that I should keep my aperture at f/11 or smaller to compensate for the different focus points of the IR.
There are some lenses which are not generally recommended for IR work, such as the 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6, because of hotspots but, I am told by Dave at digitalguy.com that these hotspots are an easy fix with Photoshop.
These images were shot as a test using my 12-24mm Tokina.
