I have been the green light for my yearly lens purchase by my better half!!! It will be either the 24-70mm f/2.8L or the 24-70mm f/2.8L.

I will be using it mostly for dusk to nightime concerts. Is the 28-70 version sharper than the new one as I have read?
Thanks for your input

So, I guess it'll be the 24-70, then, huh?

I'd say go for that one, since they might stop supporting the 28-70 at some point, in the near future, who knows.

You can't go wrong with the 24-70mm f/2.8L, it's a fine, fine lens. Certainly my most-used lens.
