Hmmm, roughly $2K for your toy, $200 for hers. She sounds "blond." :-D

Geoff
All I want is a 10-2000 f/0.5L with no distortion that weighs 100 grams, fits in my pocket, and costs $300. Is that too much to ask?

Should make you feel very bad IF you buy the lense, or was it the other way around?

She says "This lens that you've been using recently is white (70-200 f/4 IS). Wasn't the one I bought you for your birthday black? (the 70-300)" I told her that I simply traded with someone for the "white one" and she shrugged and says while walking away "I like the white one. It looks cooler". I love how technologically progressive she is, bless her soul :). All she knows is that she loves the images that I download to the computers. Once she figures out how to turn on the DVD player and switch to the proper interface on the LCD, I may start showing her more about the camera gear :)

She is still yet to notice that my Silver Rebel XT had miraculously morphed into a black 30D about a year ago.

 Now that is too funny.
Hence the name..TaDaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

See this is the problem with an honest relationship. He bores me to death with his guitar talk and I bore him to death with photo stuff. But now he knows that a red ring means more money. He knows too much about lenses!

Did you ever hear of a Les Paul?

Hell, the 70-200 f/4 non-IS has grown into the 70-200 2.8 IS. I'm afraid of her touching the camera now because she'd definitely notice the weight difference :).

Well, if she stroked the 70-200 f4 and it grew into the 70-200 f2.8 IS, she obviously has the magic touch. I'd ask her to stroke the camera body and see if it morphs into a 5D Mk II or a 1D Mk III! It's worth a try!

I sold 2 black lenses for a white (70-200/4L IS). My wife knows I sold the black lenses and I mentioned the new one was white, but I don't think it has sunk in as yet. The white one will be here next week. She might be oblivious to lens color!

Too much stuff, not enough shooting time.

Canon T4i (2 lenses), Fuji X100s, Olympus OM-D EM-1 (3 lenses)
