I finally did it. Pulled the trigger on the 70-200 2.8 IS. Shipped from B&H via UPS expedited.

Talked to the verification department about shipping to my office address instead of the billing address in Canada and they said it was no problem.

I feel cold now...

I tried to bounce my flash off the ceiling once. Left a mark on the ceiling and broke my flash.

I felt instant remorse as well. Buying a lens like that for my (back then) XT! But try prying from my fingers these days... I'd take a bullet for it! My heart melts with every photo I take with it. Best for many things, but for me, it is my people lens! I love shooting at 2.8 with this glass! Nothing else compares to what this lens does.

Brian that's how I'm feeling right now, except I haven't got the balls to put the foot down on it yet! I'm still thinking about the 70-200L f/4 instead.

Ken, I completely feel the same way. I just ordered mine yesterday and should be arriving this Wednesday. I had a feeling of "wow, I can't believe I just spent that much on a lens". I have had the pleasure of using this lens twice for weddings and sure am sad every time I have to pack it up to return it.

Let us know, how it goes.

I wasn't too sure but it's half about a lens and half about buying a lens (market related). So it's kind of a toss up.
