Hi All

I was determined to get an airshow this year and though RIAT appeals immensely I thought I would try to stay local as I live about 10 miles from Farnborough.

Well to cut a long story short I found they have available what they called their Enthusiasts Day, July the 18th ~ this is actually a Trade Day but to go I took out a subscription to Fly Past Magazine and then bought my special offer day ticket. Did I say I was determined to go...!

I am hoping that compared to the public days weekend it will be that litle bit less crowded and as I have a grandstand ticket which apparently has a good view of the flightline I am hoping for good photographic opportunity day out.

So, is anyone else going and if so are you by whatever method are you going on the Friday?

Also is anyone familiar with the show layout as I have downloaded the pdf of the site and the grandstand is not shown???

:D

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

Hi Box Brownie,

I soooo would wish to go there. The company I work for is actually exhibiting at the Airshow, but unfortunately, since I am just a lowly Team Assistant I just do the Farnborough Airshow Organisation, Travel Planning, Meeting Coordination and Time Management for all those who actually are allowed to go there *sniff*

I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures though and yes, I read about the Enthusiast's day and if my whole team didn't go there and I'm left in the office, which means I'm not even allowed to take vacation and go there privately, I would have used that opportunity too ... *le sigh* maybe another time!
Up to then, enjoy nad I am looking forward to seeing your pictures and wish you fun and luck!

Giovanna

Hi Giovanna

I certainly hope it will be a good day with nice weather & light for image making but in the UK you have to take what you get :D

Just out of interest which company do you work for? Perhaps I can get a picture of all your colleagues working, oh so, hard :)

PS Nice avatar you have ~ a lovely cat.

Hi Box Brownie ;D

The company you'll find in Hall 3, Booth 1A *g*
They'll most likely be running all over the place though as they have so many meetings it's not even funny anymore. My boss actually brings one of those little scooters with him so he gets from one meeting to the other in time ;) ...

It's like that everytime there is something going on either at Farnborough or at Le Bourget. I'm hoping to be able to spend some days at Le Bourget next year :D
We'll see...

The Avatar is my Cat "Tupf" which means "Spot" :c) He's the best! Of course ranging exactly together with my second cat "Brummel" which means "Growler" ;) I love them! Hehe :D
You can see both of them fullsize and doing all their mischief here:

(;) Don't laugh at me about the quality of the shots - some of them are ANCIENT old ;) ...)
