Looks like it comes with a bag, and extra battery, hence the different packaging...
But wait for others to confirm,

Are you in the US? I thought I heard of them doing something like this in the UK a little while ago. I could definitely be wrong though. :)

Hmm, interesting. First I've seen one, but Canon has been known to do these kits before. If the price is right and it comes with a US warranty, I'd go for it.

Is it brand new? A new 5D + 24-105 4L IS will run you $2600 right now.

if you are in us, why not buy from a reputable dealer like adorama, which will get you to your door for about what you pay for it on ebay? If you pay with your american express, you get an extra year of warranty, also.

For instance, B&H has the 5D body only for $1899. They put the 24-105 into a kit with it for 2599 with the instant rebates. $700 for that 24-105 makes it a great deal. And you know who you are dealing with.

Ahh, I didn't notice the price. Meh, for $2500 I'd pass and buy it from some place I know is authorized.

I just bought a 5D kit from Beach Camera last week, $2569 with free shipping and a free 2gb CF card. US warranty, authorized reseller, tough to beat.

thanx for the tips guys. I'm waiting for the Amzon gold box, which is for $2469. I've been doing this for a week and i'm getting the only 5d body deals (created 3 extra accounts...)

I know i can get the kit package for $2600 from amazon. I should just buy it at authorized dealers (like amazon) or the timnosenzo's prefered site.

P.S can you guys throw some tips to get 5D w/ 24-105 Amazon gold box?
