I'm making a flash bracket with an umbrella mount. The umbrella rod will go through a hole, and a bolt with a knob will screwed in to hold it. How big should the hole be (for the biggest standard umbrella rods)?

This is the kind of umbrella mount I'm making.

it won't really matter too much if it can be tightened securely... the biggest rod i have is 7mm if that helps

Yeah, just the max size matters. Thanks! I actually found a bracket like that ^ in my shed. It has two umbrella holes. The small one is 10mm and the big one is 16mm. Maybe i'll just go with 16mm.
