Howdy! I Just took some shots for some friends of mine looking to create an photo with a blank boarder around it so that their guests can write messages for them at their wedding reception. This was the first outing with the 24-70, and I do miss IS. Let me know what ya think! Im still trying to get the hang of portrait photography. :)

i like #2 and #7... #2 i like the red BG... it's complementing without being destracting... #7 has a fantastic BG, and great pose, prolly my fav. Some of the other have destracting BG's... like the waterfall, for example.

I really enjoy these. I mostly like the ones where their heads are closer together. Makes for a more pleasing picture...specially in "portraits"

I like any shot that doesn't show those shorts!!! But seriously, Since this photo is going to probably be quite large I would pick one that maybe has more background and isn't such a tight crop on the couple. Aside from that nice work couple look well posed and very relaxed!!! It looks like you didn't mis IS too much either ;-)a

I think #4 or 7 would work nicely... if you turn on "Image Editing Okay" we can play with them and show you some ideas.... :)

# 6 IMHO is the best of the series.

6 or 7. Some fill on 7 would have gone a long way, but a little editing would fix it up nicely. Some spot healing on guy is in order if it won't offend.

I like 7 the best. I wonder if you could select the couple and do a minor adjustment layer to brighten them a bit or if you shot this raw and use the fill light feature in ACR.

If you keep your SS high enough you shouldn't have to worry about the lack of IS. IS is really helpful in lower SS conditions. Outdoor shots really don't require low SS.

I think that overall, not bad. They are very classic poses. They all are very off in the WB, very warm.

1 - Soft/Warm, a bit underexposed.
2 - This is very warm and a bit underexposed, but has that hot spot. She looks killer here. I wish he wasn't leaning back, it's really unflattering for him. Keep in mind that when you are shooting people to make sure they keep their chins out and slightly down. She is doing a great job of it.
3 - Very similar as above, dark, yellow, good classic shot but I wish he was holding his head in a different position.
4 - Same comments
5 - Same comments, less yellow more cyan
6 - I think this is my favorite. SAme comments about his chin, and too bad her hand is chopped but nice shot overall, just needs to be processed to remove the yellow and lighten it up.
7 - Similar comments to above. Really dark, yellow, hand chop but cute shot! Processed properly I am sure it'll be great.

I am super cool n' stuff.

I like #4, 6, and 7...I probably like #7 the best but the placement of his hand seems to bother me...looks like it is too low IMHO....other than that nice series...
