2 & 3 are very good. 1 isn't bad, I just don't like the direct flash. In 4, she's leaning kinda funny, her hand on the tree looks too small for her body. 5 is good, some minor retouching will make it better. 6 & 8 are nice, but in 7 she looks a little hunched. Just remember to have your subjects sit up straight, or if they're gonna slouch, there needs to be a reason why. Things closer to the camera will look much larger than things further away, so keep that in mind when posing hands and arms. 3 & 8 are my favorites. Nice Job!

The backgrounds are beautiful as well! I'm guessing Hawaii? Lucky!!! Not a whole lot of palm trees in Illinois, and our beach is flooded from heavy rains... Would you mind if I played around with #5?

Hi Again,

Not Hawaii. Singapore. Beautiful place. And id love for you to play around with any of the photos.

After you have done so, would you please let me know what steps you took in the editing? Im thinking of purchasing photo shop pro version, but would like to see some post editing results before i spend the big bucks!

Thanks,

NicholasBB

....I'm guessing Hawaii?...

The clue's in the wording...

Hi, I recently went to Singapore....

Sorry, just seemed funny.

Anyway.....

#1. Really like this (although you've cropped a little too close to her ear - leave her shoulder showing)

#2. This would be better if you corrected the slight cast, and hadn't cut the top of her head off.

#3. The bokeh's nice, but sorry, don't like the angle.

#4. Sorry, but this doesn't work for me at all - the tree, the hand, the lean to camera.....

#5. Similar feeling to #4

#6. Has a snap-shot feeling to it. Maybe the close crop on her left (our right) doesn't help.

#7. Really like this, the colours are lovely [Edit: and you've lit it perfectly] - my only critisism is I feel she's leaning a little too far into the photo.

#8. The strong cast is off-putting....again a feeling of snap-shot I'm affraid

Well, I just got Portrait Professional, and it's so freakin' cool! I paid $60 USD for it, and it's such a time saver! Literally just click click click and you're all touched up. Photoshop is great for touch ups too, but this is SO much easier! Let me know what you think of the touch up job.

I think you've done an excellent job - or should that be Portrait Professional has done an excellent job?! ;)

No, that looks really good, although, to the OP, I'm affraid it still doesn't cure the angle of the shot IMHO.
