C&C Welcome please. This is my first time shooting at welding shots. Let me have it.:D All shots taken with the 24-105L, the two fab shots were taken with flash.

I like the first shot -- great lines leading your eye through the picture, the smoke adds a lot to it, and a fun use of light.

The others don't do much for me.

Thanks. It took me a bit before i got the settings right, most of them were a tad darker or to bright.

nice shots. It's funny you post this, because just yesterday I was wondering how someone would take a picture of a welder, with the bright welding light and what not...figuring it would be hard to not overexpose the picture. Very nice. Just curious, what does the machine shop make and fabricate?

Roll Cages, Full tube chassis drag cars, Sheet metal work, You name it, anything that requires custom metal work. Choppers, and on an on. He has a full machine shop, lathe, mill, 2x vertical band saws, English wheel, plenishing hammer, pull max as seen in the fab pics above.

the first one's good for the creative lighting and from the smoke. the next two are eh. the last one is alright for the portrait-esque nature of it.
