My wife and in-laws convinced me to shoot senior portraits for my brother in law. We took about 35-45 minutes and practiced down by the beach. We have penty more opportunities to shoot before they are due to his school.

Critique them to death so I can get better.

I personally find that you did a great job and many action shots can be made into a great wall art collage....

A few close up interspersed would be nice to but the color and exposure on these are great!

Good job!

Good shots, I would work on getting a few closer up, and also on experimenting with some less centered compositions.

I love the lighting and the location and your choices of poses. Very natural.

I really like the poses in these images...he doesn't look uncomfortable and oftentimes it is very difficult to make some guys (especially high school seniors) look comfortable...I think these are all very nice...IMHO the only critiques would be that the building in #1 is distracting and i would have liked to have seen his feet in #2...other than that...great series!

Thanks for all the positive feedback.

I plan to get some more shots over the next month or so. I'll get some football field shots and some that are tighter. For those that said to shoot tighter... Are # 3 and 5 not tight enough?

Do the first few look too warm or are the skin tones ok?
