So the local field that I used to play at hosts wensday night "streetball", which in short is a bunch of local players who come out to just play. Last year when I was still involved, everyone showed up at about 2:30, and played until 10-11; now its more like 6:30 to 10.

The biggest problem with this was that the field's net had tall trees on 3 sides, which causes the field to be almost completely shaded at 5(great for the players, absolutely terrible for me). With the almost nonexistent light, I had to crank my 10d's ISO up to 400, which produces an incredible amount of noise for such a low iso.

Oh, and another thing they changed from last year was the removal of sidelines, so to get any pictures from inside the net I had to lay down under someones shooting lane:confused:

Well, without much of any editing, here are a few pics from the night:

Some good photos here man. I'm not a big fan of #4, it seems like a close snapshot. The rest I really do like, especially #1. #2 could use a tighter crop in my opinion.

nice shots better then some people that do paintball on a regular basis. but i suggest you dont even do paintball i am a player of about 10yrs and i speak from experience.

the paintball scene is filled with cocky, ungrateful, and greedy people/kids. its not really worth doing that is why i got out of it.

Good stuff for your first time. Last shot IMO is best cuz you got the eyes.

I've never played or shot the game. Looks like it'd be nerve wracking out there with your gear and the pb's zinging around.

Depends where you go.

Do what you like - maybe he isn't going to sell them/put them online.

I have a ton of experience in paintball as well and most of my experiences, heavily in the tournament scene, have been positive.

They are good quality. Not trying to be a **** here, but they are the same angles that you see in most paintball snapshots. I also take paintball photos, and I know that it can be hard to get a new angle or shooting style, but if you can it will pay off for you in the end.

Right now I have no intentions on making money from this, it was just a fun outing with kids i used to play with

But thanks for the CC everyone, I should be shooting an event this weekend, with sidelines!

paintball kids dont know the difference between a good or bad picture. why should he care about his shooting style or angles? they are excited when they see pictures like this of them

I'm not saying kids in paintball do know a good or bad picture, however event organizers, compaines, and other photographers do. I was trying to help him become better at shooting paintball.
