How many shots on a Vagabond II? One B800 or two shooting about 1/4-1/2?

My village called. I was told that they missed me.

The manual (external link) is your friend. Page three. Says 1,200 shots for a single AB800, full power. So I'd say around double that in your case (though I find that hard to believe).

I tend to believe those published numbers. I don't have analog strobes to test but in the tests I did do with digitally controlled strobes I got some very good numbers.

There's a good chance you could see 1000-1200 shots with a single B800 at full power.

^ I was saying I find 2,400 shots at 1/2 power to be hard to believe. But then again, you're probably right - the Vagabond is a helluva battery for a single strobe.

Hey Mike,

If you ever want to find out what that number might really be I'd be more than happy to hook your B800 to the V2, set up the intervalometer and have it start firing away as the camera keeps count.

Let me know if you're interested. We can find out how accurate the published specs are.

Nobody reads the manual.

:)

That's impressive. I think one of those will be in my near future. God this is expensive.

I don't think I want to find out that badly... :p

With which strobe? It's important to know if it's an analog or digitally controlled strobe.
