Oh boy! If you want to feel elite, go shoot a Phase One. ;)

Stop trying to burst my bubble ;)

Nice colors and details on that fence shot.

I'd love to see this thread more active... Part of the fun of owning stuff is talking about it on the forums with fellow owners. But at the same time, would hate to see the price of the beloved 1Ds3 to drop below $3k. Right now, the 1Ds3 club (this thread) feels like an elite club with few members :)

Well, there's far more elite cameras than our Ds models.

But there are still not many around, and there won't be - they just don't make many of the things.

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

Or a hasselblad ;)

In all honesty I think the 1Ds3 is the best photography has to offer right now between ease, iq, features. The 5d2 is excellent too but the image grain on the 1ds3 is more appealing to me.

I just spent 4 hours at a soccer match with the 1Ds3 as my sole companion, I just love this beast.

It makes a great combo with the 70-200 f/2.8 IS.

I bought one of these used and loved it. I used it at the store and fell in love with the FoV and the overall "experience" of using that camera. I took it back and bought a 1D classic - loved that, but sold it...

There's something special about the 1 series..

Went with the missus to a French festival over the weekend and got a chance to get a few shots:
