Yup, it does the same thing. I noticed it a while ago and I think it's pretty annoying too, but I've gotten used to keeping track of my settings through the viewfinder display.

Thanks, as this was in during the golden hour and almost straight down onto the ice, it was at ISO800.

Tyler,

I carved out the backside of the apple with a paring knife and then a melon baller. The strobes were taped down to make a much smaller "face" to allow the flash to go through and butted right up against the opening.
