Greetings all, I've finished retouching some pictures and would like your opinion on some of them. I've posted some of the images in other threads, but have since retouched them, so please be honest!

I'd just like to comment on the 3rd picture.

I dont like how her attention is pointed away from the camera. It looks like you were "sniping" someone else's photo shoot (a photographer is shooting a model, and you decide to take a couple of pictures with your camera, while they work together). She looks almost entirely OOF; especially in her face.

I might have spun her around 180 degrees, so the sun would light up more of her skin (face + shoulders), or used a flash fill on her left if it were available.

Thanks for the comment! Just to clarify the shot you are commenting on, this young lady was portraying a fairy in Shakespeares "A Mid Summers Nights Dream" and I captured her as she was circulating through the audience. I have probably taken too much noise out of the picture with Noiseware, hence the OOF look. I'll have to see if I can take care of that.

Thank you for looking!

LoL I see. No wonder cause the in the rest of your photos, your focus is spot on. No problem in that field for the rest of your series.

I forgot to add that I really do like the color and sharpness of your last photo!

One more suggestion, in your second photo, I would crop the left side more than the right side... so that the boys are looking into the edge of the frame..... In the direction they are looking, I think they are sitting too close to that edge.

Hi James;

Just a quickie from me on #4 - the sports shot...

I see you have some long lenses... So, to improve the image presentation, consider using the 300 and opening up the lens to f/4 (or as wide as it will go)... that will really blur the background nicely so the concentration of the focal point is on the player and the action...

Cheers;

Lee

Thank you both for your comments! Lee, That's a goal of mine to be able to get that blur in the background on those shots...That action happened about 25' from me, so I should have been able to....I'll work on that next time! thanks!
