I think a B&W or under saturated shot should work very well in those shots.

I get hay haulers, tail lights without cars, train tracks without trains, plowing competitions, rowboats, prison barges, Ferris Wheels, dredgers & squirrels on water skies too, so I'm used to it. :D

About 10 years ago there was a movie, based on a true story, of an old man who wanted to visit his sick or dying brother hundreds of miles away. The only transportation he had was his riding lawn mower. The movie was the story of his trip. Good movie. Can't remember the name of it.
