Me, white backdrop approach

So yesterday I was sitting in my room thinking about how I'd arrange the white backdrop I was considering buying, until I remembered: "oh, hell, I forgot all about my vinyl room darkening roller shade!" It's perfect; it's on a roller, it's hung, and it's white! I used three flashes on this, a Vivitar 285HV on the right, a Sunpak 544 on the left, and a Canon 166A behind me to blow out the backdrop. The Vivitar and Sunpak were triggered via Poverty Wizards, while the 166A was triggered optically. I think it worked pretty well!

That looks pretty cool - just got to ensure that all your subjects sit in front of your window!

What shutter speed did you use as there seems to be a camera "blind issue" (dark band) down the left side of the second one.

1/200, I should've used a longer exposure, I know :X

I don't think a longer exposure would solve the problem, rather better use of fill light on your left side or in front. Backdrop looks nice.

I assume that bbvdm meant "your", the subject's left, for the fill light, not "your", the shooter's left.
