I know this is a general question but the bag I have has to go. What is everybody's preference on travel bag on their EOS cameras and accessories.

Canon 40D, 17-85mm and 70-300 Canon lenses. Lens hoods for both. 430ex flash and a Lowepro sling bag.

Just bought a Lowepro Slingshot 200 and I love it so far...I'm going to be doing some hiking next week on a camping trip and I think it's going to work perfectly.

I probably need a bigger bag, but as you can see, the Lowepro 200AW goes a long way!

I also have a love my Slingshot 200, but when I wear it for 2-3 hours straight, it becomes a pain on my shoulder. My next bag will be a backpack that better distributes the weight to two shoulders.

I've added a couple lenses since this shot, and I've almost outgrown it.... or so I thought, before seeing djeuch's post!!

I have so many bags and cases that I'm not even sure how many I have :) I do have a Slingshot 200 and it is a great all 'round bag. I also have a Crumpler 7 million dollar home bag that is also one of my favorites. I also have a Lowepro waterproof backpack for hiking....it's great when the threat of rain hangs in the air. I also frequently use a small lowepro bag that only holds a camera with lens when I'm traveling light. Those would be my favorites :) I've found that it's tough to find a single "do it all" bag. Instead, I've built up a small collection and use what's most practical at the moment.

i agree that there's no single all-in-one bag. my Lowepro CompuTrekker is for storage while flying/travelling. its simply too big (fat) for everyday use. my walkabout bag is the Lowepro Toploader 70AW with extra lenses/flash in my Targus notebook backpack. that is quite inadequate as its not a real camera bag so im looking at the Lowepro Flipside for everyday use for a camera body + 2 lenses + flash.

My lowepro computtrekker is pretty great for traveling, but after dealing with the weight of it to and from Africa it's spent a lot of time in my closet. My everyday bag is a Domke and truly one of my favorites It's really good and broken in is covered in patches it doesn't scream camera bag and is really easy to shoot out of and the pockets hold a LOT of stuff..

Mine is also the SlingShot... but I like the 200AW and 300AW just as much. Although I probably use the 200 more often.

"Travel"? How are you travelling?
I have and prefer a Billingham shoulder bag, but for travelling there might be better options. Like maybe an Airport International (external link) or a Pelican case.

my big bag is the domke f-1x. i carry it and the domke f-802 when i travel. my camera gear goes in the big bag and my laptop and other travel acessories are carried in the f-802.

when we get to where we are going i use the f-802 as a day bag and leave the bigger bag in the room.

Good packing job djeuch. Travel packing is a real art IMO ;-)a

This is my walkies around bag ... used countless times over last 2 years and throw in the wash if it gets grubby. Cost £12.95 from Gap:

Peli 1510 carry on with laptop and stuff under and camera gear on to; pretty useful protection if your gear is bouncing around in the back of a 4x4 offroad:
