Makes sense to me! If only I could go to all the countries where folks I have photographed come from. Would make a nice year or so, that's for sure.

Actually, I've been to Japan countless times. The first was in July 1976, where I celebrated the US' bicentennial at the naval base in Yokosuka. I've seen several baseball games there (as well as games in Korea, Australia, Republic of China, Italy, Canada, Mexico and even a game in Brazil).

What I remember the most about the games in Japan was the noise continues throughout the game (bells, whistles, drums, etc), even between innings, and seems to be almost independent of what is happening on the field. Also, I don't think there were more than 10 runs scored total in the handful of games I saw. Of course, this was in the 90's, and pitchers dominated the League.
