Nice framing although your panning is slightly out making them not quite as sharp as they should be. ~3 is sooo close to being a perfect shot, the number board seems to be the point thats sharp instead of the head/eyes.

Good effort.

I think so! He didn't do as well as i thought he would have done, stupidly good rider though.

Thanks! Agree that on the panning so are slightly off. Think 3 with a bit of flash would have been a cracker!
Thanks again!

Ahh I'm jealous of you getting to see and shoot this! I'll be at the final WC round in Schladming, Austria, though - so that'll be sweet! :D

Nah, Sam rides for Ironhorse/TLD etc so would be wearing a different kit - he'd also have the rainbow bands of the world champion. This photo looks to be one of the junior riders (also supported by his three-digit race number - Sam would be number 1).

I used to have a local sponsorship for mountain bike racing. Not downhill but single track. It was a blast. I did however get a rush while downhilling that is hard to compare to. Fastest I ever had it at was 54.5mph. These guys are truly awesome riders with very little hesitation. Alot of money in those rides as well. I am jealous that you not only went but took some pretty action-packed photos.
