Meeting White Tail Deer

I met this white tail deer today in the southern most point of Finland, she was calmly walking the same narrow road. I was carrying 70-200, which was a bit short to get nice full frame shot of her (both pics are slightly cropped).

Still I'm pleased with these shots as we have only about 30 000 of these deers in Finland, all offsprings of four deers brought from Minnesota in 1935.

I really love the first one. It's very strong compositionally, with the road leading the eye to the deer, and then around the corner (maybe to other deer). It could use maybe a slightly tighter crop (take out the left hand tree and crop the top to preserve aspect ratio).

Masterful. I like.
