It rained off and on so all of my shots are from the same place, inside the back of my dad's Jeep.

I'm from Southeat Teaxs so we don't see many snow mobiles around here(never)...but this sure looks like snow mobiles running on the water ...what the ??? awesume captures!!

lol. Us northerners need to do something in the summer. They start on land, get about a 10' running start down a dirt ramp, kind of like a boat launch and then and go on to the water. They do 4 oval laps for qualifying runs and the top 2 advance to the longer final round.

They have a plastic bottle on board attached to a rope to the skiis. When they sink, the bottle floats and they hook a long rope on and pull them out with a 4 wheeler.

Kind of makes you wonder who figured out you could drive a snowmobile on the water?? Once again these are some awesume shots! Excellent job.

Really cool shots, very different but very cool! Like 1 and 2 the most!

My guess would be that some bloke would be riding on in snow, went over melted snow/water my mistake, and found he didn't sink. Thus the "sport" was born!

It can be done with quads as well, but they need to go straight and need to maintain a higher speed. I've even seen it done with a Jeep with really wide tires going really fast. Awesome shots.
