Got it working after lots of errors... Don't know what I finally did to make it work, but I don't want to mess with the settings again! :)

Now just to figure out how to watch a folder successfully in LR...

BTW, you can use EOS Utility (with the camera plugged in via USB cable) to upload and save your settings on the computer. Or, you can just save the settings in your camera memory card via the camera menu. That way you'll have a copy of it that can be reloaded in case something gets messed up.

Okay now it's working, here's what I had to do... on my laptop, I had to manually set the IP address for the computer, because it changed itself automatically since I last used it. That's why it wasn't working. Now it works like a charm again. Straight into Lightroom like it should do.

So have you got it working with the latest versions of Snow Leopard AND EOS Utility? If so can you give us a step-by-step tutorial please.

The transmitter works just fine with Snow Leopard in FTP mode. It's PTP mode (wireless remote shooting) that doesn't work yet with Snow Leopard.

Yes that's how I have mine working thanks to your instructions but like you, I'm still waiting for some way to use EOS Utility with it and get the remote shooting and other facilities back!

Hi there
Last week I sent a mail to Canon Japan, explaining that we don't buy Canon equipments just to provide salaries to canon team, and we 'll be very happy to use PTP transfer with eos utility and snow leopard...Answer from Paris" we do what we can, PTP is not working, but FTP is....." , .....!! what to say after this??

Can you post the email address so that we can all contact Canon and let them know how we, as professionals, feel about their product. The more we complain the better chance we have of getting some progress because at the moment we are being left high and dry!

I downloaded the latest version that supports Snow Leopard a couple of days ago but PTP still isn't working for me. :(

Has anybody else tried PTP mode on Snow Leopard?

Same problem here...
EOS 7D with a WFT-E5B and latest versions of Eos utility, Digital Photo Professional are installed (2.8.1.0 & 3.8.10)
I am in contact with Canon support but no solutions for the problem at this moment.
