I'm trying different ways to get stronger pictures with different compositions, by using natural framing, etc. I got quite a few pictures when I was visiting family. Please tell me what you think and how I could have improved the shoot. Thank you in advance.

I like your effect with the waterfall and smoothing the water. I'm guessing your shutter speed was about 1 sec.? Nice images, I like #4.

The first one was 2 sec, second one was 3.2 sec and the last two were five sec. It was dark when I was closer to the falls and I was using my tripod w/kit lens.

like number 3 the best
number 1 is my second choice
both seem more "compact"

Robert - Thank you for your comments. I'm starting to think that with waterfalls, it has more of a dramatic effect when you fill the frame. I better get a wide angle for Niagara! :)

DrFil - Thank you for your comment. I agree, I noticed the branch, but didn't think it would be so distracting. It really bothers me now. I'm not sure if I will go in and take a chance busting my butt, but I can always send my hubby in. :) just joking, of course.

#3 is a winner for me, very nice photo. The branches don't bother me too much, but I guess it would be better without them.

I like the idea behind number 1, but the branches are a little overwhelming and take away from the waterfall a bit, especially the ones on the lower left that are brighter.

Overall, all very nice shots!
