Stopped by the airport on Saturday evening. There are a lot of different aircraft fighting the Indians Fire, up at Fort Hunter Liggett. This is the CDF's-whoops, I mean Cal Fire's Air Attack Base at the Paso Robles Airport. C&C welcomed.

Wow! My old stomping grounds in the mid eighties as a "Lightfighter" scout with the 7th ID Light out of Fort Ord. Nice pics, too.

Thanks Roger and Scout. Yeah, the Lightfighters did a lot of training at Hunter-Liggett from what I hear. Hollywood used it for "We Were Soldiers." The oak trees just seemed out of place for a jungle movie.
