First order of cactus equipment was 2 receivers and one trigger. I ordered another set and ended up with another receiver and trigger. I think they goofed but who knows it could have been me. I didn't really care because it never hurts to have a backup.

When I have the newest trigger on my 580EXII and one of the old ones on my 285HV with the old trigger somethign strange happens - I setup then take a picture, flashes go off great. Then the 580EX II which has the newest trigger will start goign nuts and fire multiple times. I end this by turning off the flash. But what the hecks going on here?

These things don't play well together with Canon flashes (some of the time).
The forum is full of posts, detailing the same problem.

The lesson here: you get what you pay for.
Get some Pocket Wizards or Skyports and your problems will go way.

There are new versions of these already available here and there, these may have some improvements (and they may not). Personally I would wait for something other than a Gadget Infinity testimonial. Possibly Gadget Infinity is just sitting on a pile of stock they need to sell first.

Contrary to popular opinion, Gadget Infinity does not manufacture these, they just sell them and have them put in their own packaging (and they sell a bunch).

Enjoy! Lon

I just received mine today and tested the V2s with my 430ex. So far I've only had a few random fires. Seemed pretty reliable for the 30mins I was messing around with the setup. I can see the room for improvement (see: spending more money on pocket wizards) though.
