I was wondering what people see to be the best non Canon lens for wildlife, i.e what make and model. It will be interesting for those that can't yet afford L glass.

i have heard that the Sigma's are pretty good (Bigma and others). I LOVE my 100-400, though.

Best is a very subjective term. As for wildlife lenses, they're all pretty expensive because of the focal lengths. If you're looking for a zoom, the new Sigma lenses like the 150-500 are pretty reasonably priced.

WELL if your thinking birds the sigma 500f4.5 might be worth a look at, zoomwise as said the 150 /500.

Sigma 50-500 and the new Sigma 150-500mm OS come to mind.
I have the 50-500mm and it's a nice lens.
