Hello everyone,

I have read and searched many threads on here and still have a question I can't seem to find an answer too.

If I want to convert a G6 camera to do IR photography with, I understand the first two steps would be :

1 - Get a G6 (haha)
2 - convert it following guidelines posted here replacing the IR filter with clear glass

Now here comes the question. Am I still going to need a R72 filter or a 093. I see a lot of people post about their G6 and mention these filters. But I thought the point of converting your camera was so you did not need the filters to begin with. Am I missing something here?

I see this camera listed on ebay :
http://cgi.ebay.com …ZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem (external link)

(just for example purposes)
Now this is a converted camera, but is it still going to require a R72 or 093 filter.

Basically I would like to get both the soft pastel colors from IR ... AND I would like to get the extremely deep rich black and white photos too.

Any input? thank you in advance.

A camera.
Trinkets galore.
