I love doing concert photography, but i really dont want to bring a 'bag' in... i need to have full freedom of movement when i'm shooting concerts, but i'd like to bring more than just my kit lens in, now that i've got a 10-22 and the 1.8 50mm.

How do you bring only a lens or two in? are there special lens pounces that you can hang off of yourself (while staying secure)... obviously i can't put it in a pocket, otherwise i would.

You might consider a Think Tank belt system or a Domke Photog vest.

Tamrac and LowePro (and I'm sure others) make lens cases that you can hang on a belt.

eesh, i'm not all about looking like batman with a utility belt, or a fisherman with a vest... the belt loop thing from lowepro looks the best, still... anything more discreet than something on a belt?

Newswear Chestvest (external link). I've got the Men's Documentary.

If you don't want to put it on your shoulder, and it doesn't go on a belt, where do you think it's gonna go?

If you want to carry your kit with you, you're going to have to skip the idea of making a fashion statement. Or get a pink cameraphone.

A jacket with big pockets...but too hot in a concert!

I vote for Lowepro lens cases on your trouser belt, or on a Lowepro Street & Field light padded belt.

Think Tank UD10 or UD20 either over your shoulder or across your chest or on on your regular belt.
It's relatively small and black.
Your tuxedo jacket may even fit over the top of it if it is on your belt.

How about wearing cargo pants...?

I've carried my camera with a 24-105 onboard, a 10-22 in one knee pocket and a pair of flashes (540EZ and 430EX) and wireless triggers in the other knee pocket. You walk a little funny because of the weight, but it's all right there and very convenient. And you still have "regular" pockets available for other stuff like wallets/keys/phone.

No bags/belts to worry about...

When I went to Ozzfest in 2001 I had 3 Kodak disposables in my under-britches. Forgot to leave room for beer money and was broke by the time Hatebreed played on the second stage.
