Looking to purchase a canon xti for my 1st digital slr. The camera professionals online store seem to have great pricing.

Has anyone purchased anything from the camera professionals online store?

If so how would yiou rate their serve, quality, and helpfulness

I'd save yourself a lot of headaches and consider buying your new DSLR from B&H, Beach Camera or Adorama.

A lot of places that advertise amazingly cheap prices for DSLRs tend to be shady and have awful ResellerRatings ratings.

Aw (external link) come-on with a life time rating of .85 (that’s point 85) they are loads better than BestPrice camera and their stellar .17 rating. ;):)

Seriously, even though they outshine BestPrice, the biggest ripoffs in history, a turd is still a turd. Those places mentioned are great places but there are others as well. Beach Camera, Buydig, 17th Photo, Canoga, Profeel, they are all very reputable dealers and will save you from hours of headaches.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Good hell! That is abysmal! I have never seen a seller rating that low in my life. And it's no fluke, there are some serious horror stories. I mean, a store like that being mixed with credit card fraud? Wow.....

The Best and Worst Rated Stores at ResellerRatings (external link)...about 5 times as many Worst stores as there are Best stores...pretty eye opening.

that's because bestprice cheated on the ratings and made positive reviews for themselves from their employees ;)

never buy from random online stores, chances are you're safer on the potn marketplace or ebay. for new items, amazon, buy, bh, adorama, and sometimes jr have good deals and are reputable enough (all have min requirements of safe transactions, reasonable return policy, and cancellation w/o fees)

I don't hate macs or OSX, I hate people and statements that portray them as better than anything else. Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.

Heh, how do random online stores and random forums become B&H and potn though? Im not saying buy from anyone, but its usully not that hard to do a bit of digging and see if a dealer is reputable. Of late I've also had good luck with ebay, though I still hat ebay and paypal themselves, I cant knock the sellers who have worked hard for the reputations they have built there.

You also notice now a days a lot of the 'random' online stores have ebay stores so new users can check feedback and have a better idea of who they are doing business with.

Hahaha,
the funniest is their combo of 5D with 18-55 and 55-250 IS lenses! I wonder what would happen if someone ACTUALLY got those ...

If your going to rip people off, at least you can do a little homework and make sure that what your offering will at least work. ;):)
