Lighting, color and composition are a bit odd. Can you tell us what you were going for with this shot?

Position seems okay, but it seems underexposed.

She saw an add in some magazine, but in the ad the empty right side of the pic had some kind of marketing in it. The color was just a preset from lightroom she liked.

It's got a cool vibe to it, I like it. It's something you'd see in a fashion mag for sure. Did you adjust the color at all in Photoshop ? Considering she's so close, I'm wondering why she's not really crisp, or was this something you were going for ( a soft look )

I like it. Perhaps underexposed but I'm guessing you knew that and were going for a particular 'look'

It was positioned at about the 5o'clock postion, Just to my right with a reflector to her right. It actually is a bit underexposed, but she really liked that dark look. The more I look at it the more i like it, but i'm glad you guys like it.

I like where you're going with it. I do believe its a tad under exposed, but I like where you're going.

I guess I'm alone on this one. I don't particularly care for the shot or the lighting. If the shot was intended to have copy on the right side then I could see shooting that way but to mimic that and not have copy there make the composition look awkward. The underexposure is not bothering me as much as the overall feel created by the lighting.
The pose and facial expression do nothing for me. If she (the subject) is happy with it then I guess that's all that counts.

A lot of people complain about underexposure on this one, but it looks like it was intentionally vignetted. No, it's not a textbook portrait, but who says that is has to be? I like it. :)
