I'm the same about the heftiness. The MF3 is very similar to the PROBX in terms of heft... minus about 500-600g. The main reason I was looking at the MF4 was as you said... shorter collapsed length.

I too have the rubberfoot syndrome, so I may replace the caps with the rubber foot/spike combo you can get for them.

Interesting I have two-left foot syndrome - wonder if I can get spikes for that :p

I just had a look at them. I knew they had spiked feet but I didn't realise they were retractable. If you order them from the US let me know and I'll grab a set too. Or I may pop down to PC for them.

Ok, so get a question for you Brisbane people who have ordered from Cameras Direct... My order has been shipped, but they haven't sent me a tracking number. Is this what usually happens, or does AaE send you a tracking number as it says on their site???

I don't know what Camera's direct do, but AAE's tracking number is on the Con note when you write it out. AAE wouldn't send it to you.
