As i understand it they are all the same, F7 is what it was originaly known as then F7 Double AF as in it can hold 2x AutoFocus cameras plus glass.

ah ok...

I'll have to think about it... price is a bit high for a 2nd hand 'play around to see if i like it' type bag.

Well that was an interesting interview...

Fifteen minutes before I went in, I was given three questions to prepare answers for. All I ended up doing was explaining to them the answers to those three questions before getting a chance to ask them some questions of my own. :|

Now to update the scoring database, send some emails then head off to the digital meeting. Who should I expect to see? :)

Well hope you get the result you are after for it :)

Sure does sound like an interesting approach.

Hmmm, odd... almost sounds like they've already got in internal candidate and are going through the motions...

That doesn't really surprise me in the format actually. They know enough about you from your resume/application and now they want to know how you respond to questions in a short time period.

Wait! That can't be right - someone in Govt. answering questions in a short time period ? ????

They were testing to see how long it took if to quick and gets job means they have to train him to be slower.

For an AO2 position? The only difference between that and AO1 is that I'm over 18. This is an entry level position - I think an internal would aim a bit higher for what it's worth. ;)

Once again... AO2. They've got plenty of time to let it seep into my skull before I retire. ;)

Ah yes, many years ago I used to be an AO2 :)

Still, you do get internal candidates for such positions, people wanting to change portfolios, or just moving from another area.

But yeah, they're not too fussy at that level.

Yep, can't see why not :)

Now that I'm not off to Longreach... how's the weekend of the 20th/21st sound as a tentative ?

(yet to sound out others about this too, but gotta start somewhere)

Sounds like a good start..........

DAdeGroot wrote in post #6285235 (external link)
As an added bones, the 18th and 19th (of Oct) are only 2 days before a new moon, so there should only be a wee sliver visible. Alas, it rises at just before 9pm on the Sat, but that should still give a couple of hours of moonless sky to shoot/observe.

AMD72 wrote in post #6285365 (external link)
Hi Dave

Those dates are only two days before last quarter - hence the moon rise at just before 10pm on the 18th and 11pm on the 19th. The following weekend (just 3 days before new moon) would be better for observing, though if we have been trapsing through Girraween during the day I doubt people will be up to a long night of observing anyway. The moon rise and moon in general might prove to be a good photo target around that time aswell. The heart of the milky way will be setting early in the evening by then, but should be available for those nice widefield shots.

Don't worry too much about the moon, it wont be that bad even when its up :)

And a photo to share of one of the presents I brought myself.

Beautiful photo Helen.

That be pretty standard for an AO2..... Very similar process for higher levels, the interviews are just longer :D

Through popular consensus, dates have been locked in to Oct 18/19.
