Wow nice pics Greg & Andrew

Hmm - also good - although my fave is the last one.

Lovely shots Andrew

Thanks guys - I am happy with the last one too!

wmzaphod wrote in post #6613323 (external link)
Love this one too......

Well, they're pretty damn good for a "roughly polar aligned" scope. I wish I could get my mount tracking half as good.... :p

Thanks Peter - funny how the other images took so much work and setup, while the last one just required me to pull over to the side of the road, snap the shot and then a few pp tweaks when I got home :) We still need to organise a get together for some astro shots though we are coming into a busy part of the year. As far as polar alignment I still have "L" plates on so I am not sure what I can teach you, but if we can organise a time we are both free I will be there with bells on ... well with a car full of astro gear at least ;)

It was such a good storm too, real hum-dinger, but obviously it needs a new agent, 'cause it seems to have been picked up by Channel 10 and thus aired at 2:45am on a Monday night ;-)a

Ahh, Spammy - a little off in the tips, I fear!

That's OK - I won diddly squat in the work sweeps. One of the guys at work had his 10 year anniversary (of working in the company) today so he put $20 for a win and $20 for a place on horse number 10. Netted him a touch under a grand, I believe.

Well, for the race, i did pick 2nd, 4th and 5th so i was close. And an each way bet on Bauer would have gotten some return.

Im happy though, I won on Hips Dont Lie and made my money back. Would have had at least $5 on Marveen in race 6 had I had cash left at the TAB and would have picked up a bit more for the win.
